The figure to the top is Bacchus, Roman God of wine, fertility, revelry and theatre, he stands tall holding a horn in one hand and grapes in the other, grape vines and fruit follow the pillars to the base giving this mirror a true sense of grandure.
Please note this mirror is over 200 years old and shows some signs of repair and loss to some of the plaster work. Over all it is an outstanding decorative antique and a very rare survivour.
